La Mia Bella and Bring Porter Home

One reason I wanted to start this blog was not only to showcase my business, but other businesses and causes I believe in as well. So I am thrilled with this post I get to do both. Last year I had the privildge of meeting Sara, at a local show we were both in. She owns a business, La Mia Bella, which sells bath and body items geared for young girls, although anyone can use them, I do. Sara is such a sweet person and we instantly connected and since that first show our friendship as grown as we have been in a few more shows together and have gotten to know each other even better. Here is a picture of her adorable booth at a local craft fair.
Her business, La Mia Bella, drew my attention right away because they are naturally made in small batches with no artificial colors, sodium laureth/sodium laurel sulfate, or known toxins. They are also free of phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde, or petrochemicals. You can feel good about using these quality products. Her bath and body collection includes lip sugar scrubs, body souffles, sugar scrubs and lotions, lip balms, and fragrances. They all smell amazing and feel wonderful on your skin. She also has some body shimmer lotion that will add a little sparkle to your skin this holiday season. My favorite item I am using right now is her lip shimmer. I told you they weren’t just for young girls. :) So besides being a wonderful person, and selling great products, and has the cutest curly hair :), she also has a lovely family and is in the process of welcoming a fourth child into their family through adoption. They heard about a special needs boy, Porter, from Eastern Europe who desperately needed a family to adopt him. God spoke to their hearts and they knew he was meant to be a part of their family and so they quickly started the adoption process. It really is a wonderful story and you can read more about them and their story here. God has provided so much already as they have raised a tremendous portion of their adoption but they still have more to raise before they can travel and bring Porter home. If you feel led to help make a difference in this boys life you can donate to their adoption through Reece's Rainbow (another wonderful organization I hope to introduce you to soon). They only need about $5,000 more. I know sometimes we feel like we can't make a difference because we don't have a lot of extra money to donate but just remember every dollar counts and does makes a difference, and is a blessing. No amount is too small! If you want to check out her website to see her wonderful La Mia Bella products here is the link I can't wait to be able to do another post announcing that Porter is home!
